I am a full-time Police Officer who is two classes away from getting my Associates degree. The only way I knew that I had a chance to become a Police Officer was to become a veteran and serve my country. I joined the Marines back in 2005 and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. While in Afghanistan I got a post card from Civil Service asking if I would accept employment. I had my wife sign the card and when I returned home I interviewed. I was hired in June 2012 and have been with the department ever since. It is by far the best job I have ever had and wouldn't trade it for the world!
